An Ode to Eleni.....

As you lay with me in my heart, 
I shall remember how you played a part,
Every day our times of joy and love, 
That you gave me like the stars above. 

 You would be waiting at the stable door, 
Always giving me more and more, 
So graceful and my lady devine,
I always treasure our special time. 

 I know it was time for us to part,
but it’s time Eleni for a new start, 
And to place your hoofs in pastures green,
To rule the land just like a queen. 

 You gave me a life of so much fun, 
But now your day starts with the glowing sun,
Together in mind we’ll always be, 
With my heart you’ll always hold the key.  

So it's not goodbye but just farewell, 
With love always you can tell, 
Thank you for being my best friend, 
With love and hugs Eleni I shall always send.
